Article I - Name

            The name of this organization will be the “Bellevue Youth Football League, Incorporated”.

 

Article II - Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to teach the youth of our community the game of football and cheerleading. We shall also teach sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, discipline and respect. We will do our best to instill in the children confidence and self-respect. We will work closely with the parents to make sure the children are learning, having fun and building friendships with the coaches and other players.

 

Article III - Meetings

1. This organization shall meet at the Bellevue Veterans Club located at 24 Fairfield Ave. in Bellevue, Ky. If for some reason the membership cannot meet at the Vets, an alternate meeting place will be found, by the President, in Bellevue.

2. The suggested regular meeting time will be the first & third Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm until the season starts. After the first regular practice of the season, meetings will be held each Wednesday after practice ends.

3. The President may postpone a meeting in case of emergency. The President will notify the membership by the best means possible of the rescheduled meeting or next regular meeting.

4. A meeting may begin with a quorum of board members present. Five (5) of the elected officers present will constitute a quorum.

            5. Meetings will be no more than two (2) hours or go past ten (10) o’clock pm.

            6. Board members will notify the President as soon as possible, if they are unable to attend a meeting.

7. The meeting structure is as follows: roll call of officers, reading of previous meetings minutes, treasurer’s report, fundraising report, cheerleading director’s report, football director’s report, committee’s reports, old business and new business.

8. Any board member, with a second board member in agreement, may call a special or emergency meeting with 24 hours notice to board members.

9. All committee chairmen will establish and publish to the league, a regular meeting schedule.

 

Article IV – Active Members

1.      Active members are defined as anyone who actively participates in the organization by attending at least 33% of the regular meetings and working at least 33% of the scheduled fundraisers.

2.      An active member is also anyone who is a fulltime coach (as determined by both the head coach of that persons coaching division and the head director) and attends at least 33% of the leagues meetings beginning with the first meeting after the first official practice.

3.      All active members are entitled to vote on issues other than the coaching staff, absentee voting and league finance. These items will be voted on only by the elected board members.

4.      Active members who attend 50% of the leagues meetings beginning with the first meeting after elections and work at least 66% of the leagues fundraisers are eligible to run for a board position.

5.      All voting will be majority rules.

 

Article V – Board of Directors

1.      The organization will be headed, managed and operated by an elected board of directors. The active members will nominate and elect the board members.

2.      There will be nine (9) members to the board of directors. They include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Football Director, Cheer Director, Concessions Chairman, Concessions & Fundraising Assistant and Field Director.

3.      These nine will be the only ones permitted to vote on league finance, absentee voting and the coaching staff.

4.      The Football Director is also the Head Director. This is the liaison to the NKYFL.

5.      Any active member who has been impeached from a board position cannot hold another board position. Permanently.

6.      All positions are for a one (1) year term only.

7.      No one may hold more than one board position at any given time.

8.      No two persons from the same family may hold positions that require them to sign checks together. (President, Vice President & Treasurer)

9.      Should a vacancy on the board occur, the President will appoint an active member to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term.

10.  Any board member who misses two consecutive meetings will be issued a warning. Any further absences will result in the board member being brought before the membership to explain their actions. The board member in question may request a private meeting and vote with the board instead of the active members. A majority rules vote will be taken to determine the disciplinary action to take. Before any action is taken, reasonable effort must be taken to contact and inform the board member of the proceedings. Including sending a registered letter to their home address.

11.  All voting will be majority rules.

12.  All board members should be at least 21 years old.

 

Article VI – Nominations & Elections

1.      Nominations will take place at the first regular November meeting.

2.      Any active member may nominate any qualified active member to any board position.

3.      Any one nominated for a board position must be present or have made arrangements with the President prior to the nomination to accept the nomination.

4.      The person nominating someone must state why they are nominating the person.

5.      The nominee must state why they are accepting the nomination and what they wish to accomplish for the organization during their term.

6.      Elections will take place at the first regular meeting in December. Majority rules.

7.      Elections will be by a secret ballot.

8.      There will be no absentee voting except under special circumstances that have been determined and approved by the sitting board prior to election night.

9.      If there is a tie, there will be a revote between the two parties on the same night. If a tie still exists, then the sitting board will vote. Majority rules.

 

Article VII – Board Member Duties

A - President

1.      The President shall have no voting power other than to break a tie.

2.      Conducts business pertaining to Bellevue Youth Football League.

3.      Acts as liaison between the Bellevue Youth Football League and its Directors and Coaches.

4.      Arranges for meeting locations. Schedules and conducts league meetings.

5.      Signs checks with the Treasurer. The Board must approve all expenditures.

6.      Provides assistance to all areas where & when needed.

7.      Must be present during the annual audit.

8.      Must attend a majority of the games.

9.      Must work at a majority of the fundraising activities.

10.  Must provide Secretary with current address and phone number.

11.  Reviews results of background checks.

12.  Has a key to the field house at the Vets.

13.  Assists Treasurer in collection of monies paid by participants when Head Director is not available. Has own receipt book that must be kept accurate and available for Board review at each and every meeting.

14.  Chairs the annual audit committee that consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurer and two (2) active members only. The audit will be conducted before December 31st, in private meetings. The results will be made available to the active members at the January meeting for review.

B - Vice President

1.      Conducts meetings in the Presidents absence.

2.      Fills in as President, until replaced, should the office be vacated. Then retains VP office.

3.      Signs league checks only in the Presidents absence.

4.      Chairs fundraising committee consisting of the Vice President, the Concessions & Fundraising Assistant and any volunteers from the active members.

5.      Coordinates & operates all fundraising activities.

6.      Responsible for publicizing all fundraisers that would benefit from publicity.

7.      Gives committee reports at regular meetings.

8.      Must be present during annual audit.

9.      Provides assistance to all areas where & when needed.

10.  Assists Treasurer in collection of monies owed to the league from participants.

11.  Assists Treasurer in collection of monies paid by participants when Head Director is not available. Has own receipt book that must be kept accurate and available for Board review at each and every meeting.

12.  Must provide in the annual welcome letter, a list of fundraisers that will qualify an active member to run for a board position.

13.  Has a key to the field house at the Vets.

14.  Will be a member of the “Tiger Bowl” committee.

C – Treasurer

1.      Keeps an up to date ledger showing all credits and debits of B.Y.F.L.

2.      Pays leagues bills in a timely manner. All payments must be board approved.

3.      Signs checks with the President. Signs with the Vice President when the President is unavailable.

4.      Responsible for the depositing of all monies in the bank within 48 hours of the event.

5.      Must be present and participate in the annual audit.

6.      Must produce and present at the first regular meeting of each month, a detailed report of all banking activities for the prior month. This is to be done at the first and third regular meeting of the month during the regular season.

7.      Must work at a majority of fundraising activities.

8.      Assigns workers to the gate of each home game.

9.      Forwards a check to the Head Director for the total amount of the home game income for forwarding to the N.K.Y.F.L.

10.  Keeps an up to date roster of participants and money they owe to the league.

11.  Informs each head coach weekly on who still owes money.

12.  Will keep accurate and up to date records for tax preparations purposes.

13.  Has full authority to review any and all receipt books, invoices, bills, purchase orders or any other document concerning league finances.

14.  Has key to PO Box #72.  Checks weekly with Secretary.

15.  Will be a member of the “Tiger Bowl” committee

D – Secretary

1.      Records minutes of all meetings in bound notebook for permanent record.

2.      Handles leagues official correspondence.

3.      Assists President in notifying active members of meeting changes if necessary.

4.      Must work at a majority of fundraising activities.

5.      Maintains active member sign in book. Each page should be dated and ready for members signature prior to the start of each meeting. Should mark out the signature space and initial at the end of each meeting where a member did not sign in.

6.      Maintains a current listing of all addresses of board members and coaching staff.

7.      Maintains a record of all who participate for the entire season. Football and cheer.

8.      Provides all paperwork needed for background checks. Mails in the completed forms and forwards results to the President in the sealed envelope.

9.      Has a key to PO Box #72. Checks weekly with Treasurer.

10.  Maintains corporate book.

11.  Must complete and return Secretary of State Verification report when received.

12.  Helps handle publicity activities.

E – Football Director/Head Director

1.      Acts as liaison between the Northern Kentucky Youth Football League and the Bellevue Youth Football League. Also between the BYFL and Bellevue High School.

2.      Will attend NKYFL functions and meetings the second Tuesday of each month, or other designated meeting time, representing BYFL, or send a substitute if cannot be present. (BYF loses voting privileges the following month if we have no representative).

3.      Has full authority to schedule practice times, in coordination with coaches, and to cancel practice sessions in the event of climate conditions that present physical danger to coaches and players. May also cancel practices if it is in the best interest of the participants & the league.

4.      Will contact High School officials to determine whether a game is cancelled or rained out & to set up make up game date & time.  Informs Head coaches & referees of cancelled games & date & time of make up games.

5.      Upholds NKYFL by- laws. The Head Director is fully responsible for all participants and coaching staff of the Bellevue Youth Football League to the NKYFL.

6.      Prices and purchases equipment, trophies, awards, etc. All purchases must be pre-approved.

7.      Must contact all vendors in January and inform them that they are only to deal with him/her.

8.      Provides suggestions for the type of senior jacket to be purchased.

9.      Must attend every game and practice or send a representative and inform the appropriate coaches, Field Director and President of whom that representative is.

10.  Responsible for the actions of the Head coaches.

11.  Head Director appoints any vacancy of Head Coaching position by March meeting, with Board approval.

12.  All Coaches fall under the supervision of the Football Director and can be suspended for violations of the NKYFL by –laws at the discretion of the Football Director.

13.  Ensures that all agreements between the BYFL and the Bellevue Vets are fulfilled. Also between the BYFL and Bellevue High School.

14.  Distributes equipment to players at the beginning of the season, with the help of the Head Coaches, insuring that all players are properly outfitted.

15.  Collects all equipment from the Head Coaches or players at the end of season and makes sure it is safe and usable for the next season.

16.  Inventories all equipment and presents it to the Board by March meeting.

17.  Must spend at least one practice per week monitoring the practices of all squads.

18.  Has key to field house and all lockers, cabinets and storage areas inside.

19.  Must chair the Starter Bowl Committee that consists of the Head Director, VP, Starter Head Coach, Field Director, Concessions Chairman, Treasurer and any volunteers.

20.  Propose a 1 yr budget to the Board by March meeting.

21.  Get at least 3 bids from all vendors for all purchases over $200.00.

22.  Assists Treasurer in collection of monies paid by participants.

23.  Has own receipt book that must be kept accurate and available for Board review at each and every meeting.

24.  Must work at a majority of fundraising activities.

25.  Should not be a Head Coach.

 

 

F – Cheer Director

1.      Responsible for selecting and ordering all cheerleading items including but not limited to preview outfits, shoes, hair accessories, socks, body suits, etc. All expenditures must be Board approved prior to ordering. Final decision for items will be made through a formal presentation to the Board.

2.      Works closely with the Vice President to organize fund raisers to assist participants in raising money to pay for needed cheer items. All money raised by cheerleaders shall be used for payment of all accessories. Any and all surplus money shall be deposited into the general fund for league use.

3.      Responsible for selection of Head Coaches by March meeting. With Board approval.

4.      Responsible to the Head Director for actions of all Coaches and Sponsors.

5.      Responsible for organizing and operating cheer try-outs. Must recruit impartial judges from outside BYFL.

6.      Compiles and maintains a listing of all children who try-out each year whether they were chosen or not. This is to help determine Senior awards eligibility. (See Awards Sections)

7.      Must work at a majority of fundraising activities.

8.      Distributes and collects all cheerleading uniforms and league owned cheer items.

9.      Presents a complete inventory list to the board at the March meeting.

10.  Forwards a complete list of all cheerleader’s names, addresses, phone numbers & date of birth to the Secretary and Head Director as soon as possible.

11.  Must attend every game and practice or send a representative and inform the appropriate coaches, Field Director and Head Director of whom that representative is.

12.  Must spend at least one practice per week monitoring the practices of all squads.

13.  Has key to field house at Vets.

14.  Must draft and forward to the board, a listing of cheerleading rules for both the try outs and the season at least one month prior to try outs.

15.  Works with the Treasurer to create and maintain an accounting ledger of each cheerleader showing what they have paid, made and/or owes.

16.  Propose a 1 year budget by March meeting.

17.  Makes recommendations as to the size of each cheer division. This is not a final count.

18.  Will make recommendations to size of each squad. Has the option of having both a cheer squad and then a competition squad in the same division made up of that divisions cheerleaders. A part of the total number of cheerleaders may be classified as competition squad in addition to cheer squad. The decision to have a competition squad must be made known prior to the tryouts. The day of is okay. EX: The squad may have 22 cheerleaders that cheer at all games and events, but only 14 may be competing in the NKYFL Annual Cheer Competition. The Spirit Squad will be used if enough interest is shown by participants that do not make the competition squad or cheer squad.

19.  Try outs are required unless all that want to try out are going to be on the competition squad.

20.  Should not be a Head Coach.

 

G – Field Director

1.      Will assist the Football Director in all areas.

2.      Responsible for setting up the playing field of all home games. This includes, but is not limited to, the chains, yard markers, PA equipment and scoreboard.

3.      Will put together two (2) large first aid kits. One for cheerleaders and one for football.

4.      Will put together and maintain one large equipment repair kit and four (4) small kits. One for each football division. Items #3 & #4 should be available on the first day of practice.

5.      Must work at a majority of fundraising activities.

6.      Has a key to the field house at the Vets.

7.      Works with the Concessions Chairman to appoint parents/volunteers to work concessions, chains, gate, announcing, clock and other needed areas at home games. Will keep a log of all who work.

8.      Tries to attend all NKYFL functions and meetings.

9.      Will be a member of the “Tiger Bowl” committee.

H – Concessions Chairman            

1.      Holds Sam’s Card in his/her name for BYFL.

2.      Forms a committee of volunteers to work concessions.

3.      Has key to field house at the Vets.

4.      Works with the Field Director to schedule parents/volunteers to work where needed at all home games.

5.      Keeps Head Coaches informed as to what children have not had a representative work their required set-up, clean-up and concession.

6.      Will be a member of the “Tiger Bowl” committee

I – Concession/Fundraising Assistant

1.      Works with Vice President to organize and publicize fundraising events.

2.      Assists in making sure all participants are aware of all BYFL events well in advance.

3.      Must work at a majority of fundraising activities.

4.      Fills in for Vice President when they are absent.

5.      Assists Concession Chairman in all areas needed.

 

Article VIII – Awards

1.      Each and every participant will receive the approved participation award for the season in which they take part. Parent/guardian must work required concessions to make participant eligible.

2.      The participant must participate in all pre-season, regular season and post-season games and events setup for and by BYFL to be eligible for any awards. Special permission from the Head Coach and Head Director must be obtained if missing any event to be eligible for awards.

3.      If any Starter Division team wins or places Tournament Runner-up in the annual “Tiger Bowl”, they will receive a special award purchased by the league. This includes football players and cheerleaders. If finances permit.

4.      If a division should make the play-offs, a vote will be taken as to whether or not award are given.

5.      If a participant is injured, they must still be present at all practices and games. Injury permitting.

6.      Any departing Senior with 4 or more year’s participation will receive a special plaque.

7.      Any departing Senior with 4 or more consecutive year’s participation including their final year of eligibility as a 2nd year Senior, will receive the jacket selected by the league.

8.      Any departing Senior that has participated a total of 6 non-consecutive years, including their 2 years of eligibility at the Senior level, will receive the jacket selected by the league. Cheerleaders must tryout and make the cheerleading squad to be eligible for the jacket. Just trying out does not qualify for participation in the second year of Senior eligibility.

9.      Participants with 8 or more years will receive a special glass plaque as selected by the league for their participation.

10.  Participants will only receive the 2 highest awards available to them. They will not receive both the 4 year and 8 year awards.

11.  If a participant will be a freshman in high school in their second year as a Senior, they will receive the awards they are eligible for as if they were a second year Senior.

12.  The Bellevue Youth Football League will purchase up to 3 special awards to be given by the divisions Head Coach. Budget permitting. All purchases must be board approved.

13.  Coaches may give any other awards they wish, at their own expense. These will not be given at the annual awards banquet.

14.  A BYFL sponsored banquet will be held for the Starter Division. They will receive approved league awards at this time. There will be a BYFL sponsored banquet for the Senior, Junior and Midget Divisions at another time where they will receive their approved awards. This is being done in hopes of making the banquet for the older children not as hectic and more enjoyable for the Starters.

15.  T-shirts may be awarded for an exceptional season. Budget permitting and with Board approval.

 

 

Article IX – Coaching Staff

A - Head Football Coach

1.      Must read, understand and follow the NKYFL and BYFL football rules and by-laws.

2.      Must not recruit players from outside the legal organizational territories as set down by the NKYFL.

3.      Responsible for the action of all those on their coaching staff.

4.      Will not use or allow to be used on the practice field, game field or in the presence of their team any alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs.

5.      Will not use or allow to be used any physical force or verbal abuse to any participant of the league.

6.      Responsible to se that all players in their division make the appropriate weigh-ins.

7.      Responsible for all paperwork to be completed for the league. They may appoint a ‘Team Mom’ to assist in helping with paperwork but they are ultimately responsible.

8.      Will assist the Head Director in collecting all equipment from their team at the close of the season.

9.      Will play any pre or post season game scheduled by the Head Director and league.

10.  Must appoint an Assistant Coach who will take over in the Head Coaches absence.

11.  Must submit a complete roster of participants to the Head Director, Treasurer and Secretary at both the beginning and closing of the season.

12.  Must establish an attendance policy for their division and make it known to all children and their parents at the first official practice.

13.  Will inform all players and parents of games, scrimmages, fundraising events, practices and meetings in a timely manner.

14.  Must attend all BYFL meetings or send an adult in his place to keep informed of league happenings.

15.  Provides the Head Director with player stats at or before the December meeting.

16.  Encourages parent’s participation in events and meetings. Reminds them with weekly communications.

17.  All Head Coaches retain their position from season to season with board approval.

18.  Must be at least 18 years old.

19.  Starter Head Coach will be a member of the “Tiger Bowl” committee.

20.  All coaches must go through the Head Director to participate in any and all bowl games.

B – Assistant Football Coach

1.      Will provide the best possible leadership to the players.

2.      Will give proper instruction in the game, team work, sportsmanship and discipline.

3.      Assist the Head Coach in the complete operations of the team through out the season.

4.      Will not use or allow to be used on the practice field, game field or in the presence of their team any alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs.

5.      Will not use or allow to be used any physical force or verbal abuse to any participant of the league.

C – Head Cheer Coach

1.      Must read, understand and follow the NKYFL and BYFL rules and by-laws.

2.      Must not recruit cheerleaders from outside the legal organizational territories as set down by the NKYFL.

3.      Responsible for the action of all those on their coaching staff and sponsors.

4.      Will not use or allow to be used on the practice field, game field or in the presence of their team any alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs.

5.      Will not use or allow to be used any physical force or verbal abuse to any participant of the league.

6.      Responsible for all paperwork to be completed for the league. This may be done by the Sponsor to assist in helping with paperwork but they are ultimately responsible.

7.      Will assist the Cheer Director in collecting all equipment and uniforms from their squad at the close of the season.

8.      Will participate in any pre or post season game scheduled by the Head Director and league.

9.      Must appoint an Assistant Coach who will take over in the Head Coaches absence.

10.  Must submit a complete roster of participants to the Head Director, Cheer Director, Treasurer and Secretary at both the beginning and closing of the season to reflect those that participated for the entire season.

11.  Must establish an attendance policy for their division and make it known to all children and their parents at the first official practice.

12.  Will inform all participants and parents of games, fundraising events, practices and meetings in a timely manner.

13.  Must attend all BYFL meetings or send an adult in their place to keep informed of league happenings.

14.  Encourages parent’s participation in events and meetings. Reminds parents with weekly communications.

15.  All Head Coaches retain their position from season to season with board approval.

16.  Must be at least 18 years old.

 

D – Cheerleading Sponsor

1.      Assists Head Coach in organization and operation of their cheer division.

2.      Will not use or allow to be used on the practice field, game field or in the presence of their team any alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs.

3.      Will not use or allow to be used any physical force or verbal abuse to any participant of the league.

4.      Along with the Head Coach, is responsible for all uniforms and equipment issued to their squad.

5.      Will make sure all cheerleaders and parents are aware of all games, meetings, special events and functions of the BYFL.

6.      Must read, understand, follow and enforce the NKYFL and BYFL rules and by-laws.

7.       Must be at least 18 years old.

 

Article X – Participants

The Bellevue Youth Football League is a team and all participants are expected to behave as members of that team. Members will support all team members at all levels. Violation of this rule is punishable at the discretion of the Head Coach and Head Director up to and including suspension or removal from the team.  Physical and verbal fighting will not be tolerated. Any participant who is involved in a fight at a BYFL function will be punished at the discretion of the Head Coach and Head Director.

Attendance at practices and games is expected and required. Each coach will establish an attendance policy at the beginning of the season and distribute it to all the players and parents on his/her team.

Absolutely no alcohol, tobacco or drug use will be tolerated. If you are found to be using any of these, you may be punished at the discretion of the Head Coach and Head Director, up to and including suspension from the team to complete removal from participation.

Complete removal from league requires board approval.

 

Article XI – Discipline

Anyone that feels a coach, sponsor, board member or other active member of the Bellevue Youth Football League is not fulfilling his/her duties and responsibilities may submit a letter of complaint to the board within seventy-two (72) hours of the incident.

If the Board feels that action may be/is warranted, they may form a six (6) member disciplinary committee to investigate the charges. The committee will be chaired by a board member and five (5) active members will fill out the committee.

If more than five (5) active members volunteer their services, all names will be put in a hat and the first five drawn will be on the committee.

The committee will investigate and make a recommendation of action to be taken (or no action) against the person in question. The board may or may not act on the recommendation.

If a complaint is received beyond the 72 hours requirement, the board will act on its own discretion to form a committee, ignore the complaint or take action on their own.

Every reasonable effort will be made to contact, including but not limited to a certified letter be sent to their home, the member in question to give them a chance to tell their side and know what the complaint may lead to.

Any and all actions taken will be decided by a majority rules board vote.

Anyone that is removed from the Bellevue Youth Football League is banned permanently from further participation. No exceptions. A record will be kept of all proceedings.

 

Article XII - Miscellaneous

1.      Whenever BYFL money is being counted, there must be at least two (2) board members present. They must count and sign off on the amount counted.

2.      All money must be deposited into the league account within 48 hours of the event.

3.      Donations and discounts will only be solicited for league approved functions. No one will represent themselves as BYFL members unless board approved.

4.      Anyone who has direct contact with the children of BYFL must submit the application for and pass a State Police Criminal Background Check at their own expense. Background checks shall be valid for a period of three (3) years.

5.      The President, Head Director and Cheer Director will be the only league members to review and verify the background checks. They will only be concerned with items that deal with child crimes.

6.      Anyone who discusses or discloses any part of a background check, whether favorable or not, will be banned from further participation in BYFL. Permanently.

7.      Beginning with the first official practice, practice times will not exceed 2 ½ hours Monday through Thursday. After the first day of school in the Bellevue Independent School District, practices will not exceed 2 ½ hours, Tuesday through Thursday.

8.      Any extra practice sessions or rescheduled practice sessions must be approved by the Head Director. The Head Director is the only person authorized to approve practice times and practice locations. This applies to both cheerleading and football. Field Director may approve if filling in for Head Director.

9.      The Head Director is the only person authorized to cancel practices or games at anytime.

                                                                                                                                 

Article XIII – Scholarship Fund

Budget permitting, the Bellevue Youth Football League will award a two-hundred fifty dollar ($250.00) scholarship to a past cheerleader and past football player. There will be only two scholarships given per year. Copies of the application are available from the league, area high schools and online at the organizations web site.

The Head Director and President will both be in charge of scoring, selecting, awarding and presenting the scholarships. All scholarships must be board approved.

We will make every effort to give an award to both a BYFL football player and a BYFL cheerleader. In the case where no football player or cheerleader applies, both will be awarded to the other. EX: If no past football player applies for the award then both scholarships will automatically go to the two highest scoring past cheerleaders. Also, if the scores are significantly different between the two, both may be awarded to the same category. EX: A cheerleader, the only one that has applied, scores 12 points overall and two football players score 26 points, both will be go the football players.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Article XIV – Code of Conduct

All individuals associated with the Bellevue Youth Football League will adhere to the following rules and regulations when attending a BYFL or NKYFL event.

1.      I will support all players and all teams in a positive manner.

2.      I will show respect and sportsmanship, on and off the playing field, winning or losing.

3.      I will respect all players, coaches and officials.

4.      I will allow the coach to coach.

5.      I will allow the coach to determine playing time.

6.      I will not yell negative remarks.

7.      I will provide a positive influence at all times.

8.      I will follow the proper lines of communication to resolve any problems that may arise.

9.      I will support the coaching staff.

10.  I will teach sports etiquette and sportsmanship by example.

11.  I will help my athlete set realistic goals.

12.  I will represent my organization with dignity and pride.

Any player or coach that is ejected from a game is automatically suspended from the next scheduled game. This includes regular season, playoff and Super Bowl games. This penalty will carry over to the next season.

Any player that is ejected from a second game in a single season will be suspended for the remainder of that season. This includes playoff and Super Bowl games.

Any parent that is removed from an event, game or other, may be prohibited from attending other games or events at the boards discretion.

Any coach may be suspended from any league event, BYFL or NKYFL, if in the opinion of the board, their behavior was severe enough to be considered detrimental to the overall spirit, reputation and best interest of BYFL or the NKYFL.

Any coach, parent or active member may be suspended from attending the league meetings if their behavior interferes with the normal operation and best interest of the organization.

All penalties will only be accessed after receiving a written complaint requesting action by the board. And all penalties will be decided by a majority vote of the board. The board decision is final.

The Bellevue Youth Football League and the Northern Kentucky Youth Football League will not tolerate any behavior that may endanger the health and welfare of its participants or the reputation of any of its organizations.
